Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Legal Diary mobile application (the "App") provided by Devorium Technologies ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You represent that you are legally able to enter a binding contract under the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (or your place of residence, if different). You must not use the App if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.
2. Description of the service
Legal Diary is a productivity and record-keeping tool intended to help users organise legal schedules, hearings, reminders, and related notes. Features may change over time.
3. Not legal advice
The App does not provide legal advice.
- Nothing in the App or these Terms establishes a lawyer–client relationship between you and us. We are a technology provider, not your lawyer.
- You are solely responsible for verifying hearing dates, deadlines, court orders, and any official information with the appropriate courts, tribunals, or authorities.
- We are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on information in the App or from inaccuracies in data you or others enter.
4. Account registration and security
You may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at info@devorium.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Pakistani law or the law of your jurisdiction;
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the App or related systems;
- Upload malware or content designed to harm others;
- Infringe others’ intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- Use the App to store or transmit defamatory, harassing, or hateful content;
- Circumvent technical limitations or security measures.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of information and materials you submit ("User Content"). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, and transmit User Content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the App.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to provide User Content and that it does not violate applicable law or third-party rights.
7. Third-party services
The App uses third-party infrastructure (for example, cloud and authentication providers). Your use of the App may also be subject to third-party terms (such as Apple App Store or Google Play terms). We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
8. Availability and changes
We strive to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the App with or without notice, subject to applicable law and any commitments we have made to you (for example, under a paid subscription, if applicable).
9. Fees (if applicable)
If you subscribe to paid features, pricing, billing, renewal, and cancellation terms will be presented at the time of purchase (for example, in-app or via the applicable app store). App-store payment terms may apply.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we are required to do so by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations, and indemnities) will survive termination.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Pakistan, the App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law in Pakistan, Devorium Technologies and its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the App shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) NIL (the App is provided free of charge), unless a mandatory law requires otherwise.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Devorium Technologies from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your misuse of the App, or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
14. Pakistan — governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require application of another jurisdiction’s laws.
Subject to any mandatory provisions that may require a different forum, you and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Lahore, Pakistan, for resolution of disputes arising from these Terms or the App.
15. Electronic communications and language
You consent to receive notices and agreements electronically (for example, by email or in-app). The official language of these Terms is English; if we provide a translation, the English version prevails in case of conflict unless local law requires otherwise.
16. General
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
